Supported by many of our bariatric patient volunteers, we shot an episode of American Health Front, a health-focused program, on Tuesday afternoon for WCBS Channel 2 which will air Sunday, July 31st at 1pm. Part of the video shoot included a support group meeting where some of our Prime Surgicare bariatric patients, in various stages of post-operative weight loss, described their personal journeys.
The program, American Health Front, explains cutting edge advances in medical technique and technology, and introduces viewers to healthcare specialists. Its focus on bariatric surgery will address the obesity epidemic and the fact that, regardless of your age or chronic health circumstances, you can still battle back and regain your health.
The WCBS video shoot focused on what I, as an obesity specialist and bariatric surgeon, and my practice, do to help people from all walks of life regain their health back through significant weight loss, lifestyle changes and after surgery care and support.
Our ultimate goal is to reach those who qualify as obese who may feel they can never lose the weight or are “too far gone”. We’d like them to know they can lose the weight with help and support from those of us who specialize in weight loss surgery and obesity medicine.
Not only is it possible, but achieving a normal weight can happen far sooner than they might think.
