Here are a few quick tips to keep your weight moving downward (or maintaining for those of you maintaining a healthy weight):
• Hydrate all day long by keeping a bottle of water by your side. Eat water-rich snacks like apples, celery, tomatoes and spinach.
• Have just 10 minutes to spare? Then get moving. It’s been proven that just 10 quick minutes of physical activity can boost your mood (it elevates endorphins and serotonin to feel happier and more calm.)
• Stressed out? Put on your favorite music and enjoy a big cup of hot tea. Tea is relaxing and the warm fluid fills up your stomach. Add a bit of Stevia if you are battling a sugar craving.
• Carry a few healthy snacks with you. Life happens─we run late, get stuck in traffic or just don’t have time to eat during standard meal times. Having a fruit or little bags of raw veggies with you can fill the gaps so you aren’t ravenous when it’s time to eat.
A little quick planning can go a long way in keeping your health and wellness on track. January will be here before we know it. Welcome the New Year by ending 2013 by staying in control of your weight control plan. There is no better way to welcome 2014!
