My whole life is changing for the better and I would recommend bariatric surgery to anybody — especially diabetics like me.
Positive things are happening to me every day since the weight started to come off.
By the way, I expect to be completely off my insulin very soon! In fact, I have a doctor’s appointment with my endocrinologist next week.
I am going to try and stop by the office and see Dr. Seun so I can personally thank him once again for helping me change my life.
Update: Chuck was off all insulin by the date of this posting.

I just want to say thank you for all that you and your entire team do. I’m pretty sure I’ve never felt as comfortable walking into a doctor’s office. Thank you for providing me with all the tools to be successful.
It’s not only the actual surgery, but the fact that your team attend support group mtgs, exercise program and more importantly genuinely cares for patients.
To anyone reading this: never second guess if you have any questions or concerns. The only one you’re hurting is yourself.
…I am out hitting softballs/baseballs (no pics tonight—too much fun) and tomorrow I’m out playing soccer.

Thanks to Dr. Seun and the team @ Prime Surgicare…I am down a total of 53 pounds and have never had more energy or felt better…life is a long journey but at this point in the journey I am extremely happy! The best news is that my blood sugar has been in the 105-110 range and I am not taking any meds for almost two months now! THANK YOU!…I do truly thank you for changing, and possibly saving, my life so that I can have a better quality of life as I hit my 60’s and beyond! I had gastric bypass weight loss surgery back in 2011. Today, I am still 165 pounds lighter and have maintained my goal weight of 125 pounds. I exercise six days a week and follow my food plan every day. For 18 long years, I felt like I was wearing a ‘bad costume’ which was chained and locked around me. Thank you for helping me find the key. Without you, this never would have happened. I got my healthy and happy life back!

A year ago today, I started a journey that has literally changed my life for the better when I had gastric sleeve weight loss surgery.
I couldn’t have done this by myself. I have to thank Danielle, my inspiration; Prime Surgicare for their expertise, caring, professionalism, and awesome “bedside manner” (and the summer bike rides too!); all my family, friends and brothers for their continued support; and, last but most certainly not least, my beloved wife Tara and my boys for their love and support.
This is, by all means, not the end of my journey but a major milestone for sure.
Here’s to future days of good health for me and everyone I know!

Today marks four weeks since my bariatric surgery performed by Dr. Sowemimo at CentraState in Freehold. I already feel great — just healthier! (I really could care less how I look cosmetically). Don’t get me wrong — I was scared to do it. But a month later, my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!!!! I’ve been following the rules Dr. Seun gave me. It does work! I have some serious health issues — congestive heart failure, hypertension (I have a pacemaker/defibrillator), rheumatoid arthritis and sleep apnea. In just a month, these issues are gone or lessening every day. The gastric sleeve weight loss surgery and Dr. Seun gave me a new start in life with my daughters! I am eternally grateful!
