The COVID-19 pandemic has spread rapidly for a few key reasons. One of them is the fact that infected people may have no symptoms of the disease for FIVE DAYS or more.
The virus is spread through tiny, undecipherable droplets that come from the mouth and nose, often through just speaking, laughing or exhaling.
You can also contract the virus by touching a surface where one of these droplets has settled, and later touch your face in some way.
Therefore, the 6-foot social distancing protocol is designed to protect you from contracting these droplets from people who seem sick–and, more importantly, those who look 100% healthy, but may be in the early stages of the virus, unknowingly.
I’m encouraged that the CDC and the New Jersey Department of Health pushed social distancing early-on.
This is actively decreasing the additional spread of the virus now, rather than in the future, when the government may have no choice but to mandate isolation. Social isolation prevents you from spreading the virus and defends you against contracting it from someone else. Win, win.
I explain more on my YouTube channel below. Please feel free to share:
Together, you, me and your neighbor across the street who greets you only from a distance, will win this war.
Make good choices–stay at home unless absolutely necessary.
Do your part to help flatten the curve.
I’m praying for your safety and good health.
