“Please Don’t Tell Your Patients to Go Lose Weight” was the subject of an important event hosted by Dr. Seun on July 19th for Central New Jersey doctors and primary care providers. The purpose of the evening was to discuss ways to help patients who have tried to lose weight on their own, but were ultimately unsuccessful.
“By the time patients come to see me for weight loss surgery, they often weigh 100 or more pounds than their body weight was built to carry,” Dr. Seun says. “As a result of this added strain on the body, these patients are also suffering from heart disease, chronic joint pain, sleep apnea, depression, high blood pressure and increased risk of stroke.” Read more…
